 Jessica Funchess is from Houston, Texas. She has over 13+ years of successful experience teaching K-12 students in the private and public school setting combined. She was a mentor teacher while teaching middle schoolers. During her time as a mentor teacher, her mentor was proudly offered a promotion! 

Recently, she celebrated her graduation as a certified international mental health coach and joined the OpenEd team as a proctor/test administrator and will continue to partner with community leaders to provide much-needed services.

Hi! I’m Veronica, a Test Proctor at OpenEd with a background in special education and bilingual education.

I am a mom of 3 boys and worked in education as an English teacher in a high school for over 15 years.

Jamie Walker is a dedicated educator and lifelong learner based in West Point, Mississippi. With over 14 years of teaching experience across elementary and middle school grades, Jamie has made a lasting impact on young learners, particularly through a passion for early literacy and writing instruction. A recognized Teacher of the Year, Jamie holds degrees in Psychology and Elementary Education from Mississippi University for Women, along with graduate coursework in education from Delta State University.

Outside the classroom, Jamie balances family life as a devoted parent of three with a variety of creative and personal pursuits, including nature painting and learning to play the violin. Driven by a commitment to helping others succeed, Jamie continues to explore new opportunities in educational support, community growth, and professional development.

I am a retired school administrator with a master’s degree in Instruction and Curriculum and extensive experience in education, leadership, organization, and supporting students, staff, and families. Since retiring from public education, I have continued to pursue opportunities where I can use my administrative experience, attention to detail, and strong work ethic in a professional and supportive role. I look forward to bringing my years of experience and commitment to excellence to an organization where I can continue to contribute and make a positive impact.
